Subject: Marginalized people in Yemen and their leader, Nouman Al-Hudhaifi.

It is an important opinion presented by the Red Sea Center for Political and Security Studies

Mohamed Al-Walas Buhaibah, President of the Red Sea Center for Political and Security Studies

To the honorable Presidential Leadership Council and the legitimate government. Unfortunately, the politics and diplomacy adopted by the government date back several years. Its plans and ideas are old, bad and limited that have not been strategically developed. However, it should be noted that the previous leadership of country and the successive legitimate governments before the advent of Presidential Leadership Council shall be blamed.
Our subject deals with the marginalized people in Yemen. According to statistics, their number in Yemen exceeds three and a half million citizens.
Unfortunately, the marginalized people in Yemen are not represented at all in the government; as there is any ambassador, minister, member of Shura Council, or even general manager, which considered as a political and diplomatic disaster; as it is a legitimate right guaranteed to them to be represented in the government and appointed to government jobs.
The marginalized people in Yemen have a leader, namely: the Yemeni politician Nouman Al-Hudhaifi, who has several official positions, which are the following:
Chairman of the National Council for Minorities in Yemen since 2007.
President of the National Union of Marginalized People in Yemen since 2005.
President of the Future Association, Taiz, 2005.
This week, he is going to travel from Egypt to Geneva to attend an international conference, but the government has not coordinated anything with him, even though it is pro-legitimacy and against Houthi ethnic racism.
Honestly, Nouman Al-Hudhaifi is worthy of any position he occupies and deserves to be, at least, a minister of state, as a leader of a great popular group in Yemen whose number is not less than 3 million citizens. He can also be appointed as Vice-Chairman of Shura Council. I am confident that his role and influence in the international community to serve legitimacy and fight against the coup and dynastic racism will be better than the role of the current chairman of Shura Council, whose role, unfortunately, is inactive and completely ineffective.
The leader of Marginalized people can be appointed, at least, as a Prime Minister’s adviser at the rank of minister. Therefore, we see that two or three members from the marginalized people shall be appointed in Shura Council, a number of diplomats, for example, shall be appointed in the Yemeni Mission to the United Nations, a diplomat from the marginalized people shall be appointed at the Yemeni embassy in America, and an Yemeni diplomat from the marginalized people shall be appointed in the European Union. There are dozens of marginalized people who hold university qualifications and speak English fluently. Six months after their appointment, the role of marginalized people representatives of Yemen will be more effective than others abroad.
I appeal to His Excellency, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, who is righteous, wise, and strategic-minded son of Yemen, to consider the issue of the marginalized people and to select the university qualifications holders and eligible persons with a number of 5 to 10 persons, for example, to be appointed in the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the important embassies abroad, as well as selecting the appropriate position for the leader of the marginalized people, Nouman Al-Hudhaifi, taking into account their seats in the Shura Council, as well as the position of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Rights. We are confident that His Excellency, the President Rashad Al-Alimi, may God protect him, will pay great attention to this matter; given its positive results to serve the just Yemeni cause in international forums, in order to establish the fairness and to give everyone his right.
May Allah Grant You Success
